NPR's A Blog Supreme, most recent post, written by DAVID BRENT JOHNSON  is available online today!

NPR made the most of Black History Month as viewed through the lens of jazz. If you missed the recordings, interviews and remembrances, they are archived at the link above.

It was a stellar Black History Month the year! We hope you were able to attend the many celebrations, where ever you are! The history of jazz, its origins and its future rest in our hands. Let's remember. Let's contribute a verse!

Summer Jazz Intensive for Teens

SUPER SATURDAY --- MARCH 2

Super Saturday, March 2, 2013 9am -- 3pm
Albuquerque Academy West Campus Gymnasium
6400 Wyoming NE 87109

Walk-In Registration for Summer Jazz Intensive for Teens is just around the corner. Due to Albuquerque Academy's academic break, the BEST TIME TO REGISTER for Jazz Intensive is on March 2. This Albuquerque Academy event is called, SUPER SATURDAY. You will be able to register on March 18 through May 20. However, to ensure a spot in the Jazz Intensive program, March 2 is you target date! Get ready for Super Saturday!

Super Saturday is as intense as it sounds-- parents literally camp out, or arrive very early, to register their children for courses. Due to the popularity and limited enrollment in their programs, as well as the complexities of their academic scheduling, walk-in registration is the ONLY registration method for enrolling in AA's summer program. Unfortunately, Albuquerque Academy does not accept registration by phone, mail, fax or email.

We at NMJW understand that your family life is a busy one. Please consider making SUPER SATURDAY a family outing! Get there early, pack a breakfast, enjoy the crisp spring air and meet up with friends and family.
